Launch of the chaire european electricity markets

Abstract

The University Paris-Dauphine and its Foundation will launch on Friday October 12 the Chaire European Electricity Markets (reception from 16h30).

With the support of its partners RTE, EDF, EPEX SPOT and UFE, the Chaire European Electricity Markets (CEEM) of University Paris-Dauphine has three missions:
– to realize an ambitious program of academic research
– to offer a forum for exchanges between university experts, industrialist and other impacted parties
– to contribute to the training of future professionals for companies in the energy sector

European electricity markets are on the move. Liberalization, market coupling, integration of renewables, costs, prices and buying power, investment, technical change, smart grids and demand management – the European electricity markets are entering a phase of profound mutation the poses a number of theoretical and industrial challenges.
